Sun In Pisces

Technorati Tags: ,,,

We will have a new Sun placement this week as the Sun begins its journey into Pisces on the 18th of February (4:47 AM PST).  Themes of intuition, film, music, dreams, secrets, hidden enemies and self-undoing will be ripe for analysis and transformation in the next 30 or so days.  As always we can see the higher and lower vibrations of a sign by looking at its themes and Pisces is no exception.  If you have interests in photography, developing your intuitive abilities, or doing some counseling work to address addictions and other negative energy drains—wait no longer!

we will be further supported in launching new plans and activities on February 24th with the Pisces New Moon (5:35 PM PST).  Pisces, and by extension its ruler Neptune, will play host to the cosmic Sun offering us all a chance to check out that which is beautiful within us as well as the darker sides of our natures.  I particularly like to use this time of the year to advance my spiritual and intuitive studies and the book Psychic Pathways by Sonia Choquette is one of my favorites.  It is interesting that many psychics develop their skills to cope with personal disasters and Sonia speaks of her own psychic development being stimulated in part by her mother’s depression.  As a child she felt her mother’s pain quite keenly and wanted to be of assistance.  You can check out her story in Diary of a Psychic.

Happy Birthday wishes to my Pisces friends (you know who you are!) and I hope you are steadfastly moving forward on your goals and resolutions for the year to come.  If you haven’t taken a look yet at The Success Principles (Jack Canfield) or The Millionaires Course (Marc Allen), it’s not to late to pick them up and get jumpstart your success this year.

Sweet Spot

I had an epiphany this week; I am now living my dreams. I actually had been living my dreams for about a month before it dawned on me…now why would that be? Like many of my clients I had certain beliefs about how my dreams were going to come into being; I know better, but I overlooked where I was and what I was doing. It has been my dream for a looooong time to be able to work from home, take care of myself and my family without doing the ‘cubicle’ thing. So, I ask you have you found your sweet spot? Would you know you were living your dreams in the precise moment that it came into being or are you living with certain pre-conditions in place that might hinder your awareness of your well being?

This is an ideal time to look at where you are in relation to your goals (sweet spots) for the year. Why, because it’s nearly Valentines day and the sweetest day of the year. I have often reminded my clients of the famous line from Abraham; you can never get it done and you will never get it wrong. Basically that means that each time you achieve a goal, new challenges arrive (and hence new goals!) for you to work toward solving. And that, my friends, is why I didn’t notice that I had landed in my supposed ‘sweet spot’. There will be hundreds, dare I say, even thousands of ‘sweet spots’ achieved in your lifetime, because that’s the way life goes. You won’t ever reach a place of being done as long as you are living in a physical body. There will be new mountains to climb, new goals to press toward, new challenges to conquer. Now don’t get bent out of shape at this revelation; what’s key in all this is balance!

Now, what do I mean by balance? Well, can you ride a bicycle? That’s what I mean; that absolute knowing that even if you’ve not been on a bike in the last 10 years, you could hop on one today, find your balance and be on your way. That is what it takes to move through life with ease. If you’ve successfully solved challenges in the past, whatever may be a thorn in your side today doesn’t really matter. You are an evolving being and you will find the tools, teachers, or inner determination to grow through this latest situation as well.

So, this Valentines day, maybe you should celebrate yourself! Take yourself out to dinner or some other appreciative thing. We honor our loved ones at this time every year, but I think it might be of more value to remember how incredible you happen to be! And when life visits you with a new challenge, remember it is part of the ongoing game of life…you succeed one challenge at a time. You will grow and become better…so here’s to you!

And happy Valentines Day!

Get ready for a Full Moon in Leo (21 degrees of Leo) at 6:49 AM PST Monday the 9th of February. This Full Moon is also a lunar eclipse and you probably have seen the energy building, if not within yourself, then perhaps you’ve seen it within friends and family members who have been challenging to work with. This particular Full Moon is likely to be highly impactful for those with Leo, Aquarius, Taurus and Scorpio planets…so expect a whole lot of shakin’ going on.

Be ready to reconsider your opinion on an issue of love, whatever plans you may have had in the works will require revisiting. This is not the time for being rigid in your thoughts or plans. Something is about to come to light and that new information can be used as a guide to re-design existing plans into something more workable for you and those you care about.

As I mentioned earlier, this may also be a very emotional Full Moon, so now is a good time for meditation and prayers for peace for those you love and the world in general. The last week was probably pretty tough, what with Saturn and Uranus cutting up with one another, so now is an excellent time to rest, meditate and regroup. Be prepared for the Cosmic Download Tuesday or Wednesday. Only at that time will you have the insight necessary to lay your plans for success.

Wishing you a cosmically peaceful week…

Are you one of those people who believes the New Age has begun? If you’re not, you might want to take a look at the world and think again; technological devices of every kind seem to have sprung from the ground like mushrooms. Meditation, yoga, and spirituality in multiple forms are now part of mainstream thought and every day conversations. And if that’s not enough, America, land of the free, home of the brave, now has its first black President. Yeah baby, the Aquarian Age is here with a bang!

Aquarius is a fixed air sign, (meaning these folks have a tendency to not to be easily swayed into new ways of thinking; that’s their opinion and they’re sticking to it!). They can also be strangely unemotional. It’s not that they’re not emotional, it’s that they love in a friendly, more group oriented way. These folks are erratic, sometimes a bit eccentric and highly innovative (Justin Timberlake and Oprah are both Aquarians, and are good examples of the intellectual, innovative sign Aquarius).

Group endeavors, friendships, charitable good works and concern for others are the highest vibration of Aquarius…and there was a lot of talk about charitable good works around the time of the Inauguration. On the lower vibratory end of the scale, there can be a desire for absolute freedom, even anarchy. In terms of the evolutionary development of Sun signs, freedom is not given until the individual has developed the self-discipline not to harm self or others. So those individuals demanding freedom while creating mayhem are working the lower rungs of the Aquarian ladder.

The Star is the tarot card for Aquarius and is quite apropos; your wishes, dreams and desires are up for review and examination until the Sun enters Pisces on February 18th 2009. You may find you’re out and about with friends and social endeavors a lot during the time that the Sun is transiting through Aquarius. Make good on your charitable promises and spend time with your special pals and you will get the maximum good from this time frame.

As I mentioned, Aquarius is linked to the study of astrology and metaphysics by extension. This can be a good time to curl up with a good book on spirituality, or perhaps you’d like to visit with an astrologer to get personal insights on the year ahead. I’d be happy to take a look at your personal year ahead and help you map out a strategy for success this year. Just drop me an email!

Wishing you successful, starry dreams ahead!

Favorite Things...Really!

So, how is the New Year treating you? I hope you are making headway on your dreams and goals for the year, and to that end, I have a great favorite thing to share with you. My new favorite thing was shared by a friend and client and if you live in the U.S. and love books, I think you will love it too!

Paperback swap is an online connection to recycle your books, DVD's and other media and all you pay is postage! You list at least 10 books you're willing to part with and as people email and request your books you earn credits to swap for new books you'd like to read. What happens if you don't have enough credits to buy a book? You can always purchase credits and still pay far less than you ordinarily would for the book. The website also has a handy, dandy feature for helping you print out labels and even postage for books that are under a certain weight limit. You can print the label, postage and drop off said book at your nearest mail box on your way to work! And then you have the fun of receiving new books--well, at least new to you, in the mail. Imagine being able to get the information you need to help make your dreams come true at a discount! Love that!

My next favorite thing actually makes me feel like offering a drum roll...ta da! I am moving my family back to Los Angeles within the next month. My son is ecstatic and my daughter is thrilled at the idea of having her family back in the Los Angeles area. And I, well I am both excited and nervous. So, anyone in the LA area who can steer me to a nice job, apartment, place to crash land while we are getting up and running--please email me. I anticipate leaving in about three weeks, so the clock is ticking.

I am so appreciative of the many clients who have worked with me while I was off having my southern adventure; can't wait to see each of you in the flesh. Bear with me as I suspect blogs will be offline by the week of February 17th, but we will be back and ready to roll as quick as ever possible.

Happy Valentine...month to you all.

A Few of My Favorite Things!

So, how's your Inner Child today?  Perhaps he/she needs something to lift their spirits?  Well I've got a couple of lovely ideas to share with you that just might do the trick...and just in time for Valentines Day!

If you are a fan of fantasy (and I definitely am!) check out  Jennifer makes the most amazing, handmade fantasy dolls, sure to please someone on your Valentines day list (that's a hint...ahem).  Please note while visiting that big girls seem to like a bit of whimsy in their lives too--just trying to help the fellas out with some unique gift ideas this year (and no, I wouldn't totally forget about the chocolates...think in addition to...).

In a similar vein, yet quite business oriented, check out for some inspiriting ideas that will allow those of us who are definitely more right brained to jump into the business world with a bang.  From coaching to Art programs, you'll  find some unique tools to add creativity not only to your life, but to the boring business of, well, business.

I love to share wonderful new sites with brilliant concepts and products, so if you come across something that is sure to please, don't hesitate to share!

Wishing you a lovely, creative, right brained week!

Aquarius New Moon

How do you know when you are on the right path to make your dreams come true?  Well, one of my favorite tools for prediction is astrology and we have a New Moon in Aquarius, Sunday the 25th of January at 10:55 PM PST.  Your dreams, wishes, friendships, charitable interests and organizations will be front and center for the 28 day run of this lunar cycle.  Remember, New Moons are for starting new projects and all Aquarian themes (see above) are highlighted for extra power and success.

We will have to contend with the retrograde motion of Mercury (till 1 February 2009) and Saturn (till 16 May 2009).  Communications, computer problems, and issues around transportation will continue to cause problems off and on till the first.  Be prepared for delays by padding due dates on your important projects; this way, you’ll be covered (hopefully) in the event of a car, computer or communications issue until the retrograde ends.   I would even consider stalling new projects until as late as the 21st of February when Mercury finally clears its retrograde shadow and you get an all clear from the celestial Gods.  If you cannot wait that long, take extra precautions with your new endeavors (read the fine print!) to insure that you won’t wind up on the short end of the stick.

Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer and is ruled by the planet Uranus, planet of explosive change.  Since this New Moon is also a solar eclipse, Aquarians born early in the sign, plus early Leos, Taurus’ and Scorpios, may all find that they experience some earth shaking changes during the next six months or so.

Aquarius (and Uranus) bring sudden change, they rule technology and ironically old fashioned, traditional values (think Ronald Reagan).  Aquarius also rules astrology, and if you’ve been thinking of learning more about this ancient science check out and check out a book called The Inner Sky.  Mr. Forrest is a knowledgeable teacher and you will be in excellent hands as you learn the basics of astrology—albeit with a decidedly unique twist.

As I’ve indicated in previous blogs, I highly recommend developing the ability to intuit trends for yourself, as these are interesting times we live in…I think you’ll find astrology is a phenomenal tool to add to your life tool kit…

P.S. Happy Birthday to my Aquarian friends!

Do you know where your life is?

This is a question emailed me this morning from an email blast Oprah sends out each weekday, and it’s an excellent question because (drum roll please)...I quit my job yesterday. It was a drama filled moment, but had been a long time in the making. And here’s the point, if you know where your life is (and trust me, you do) you know if you’re headed toward a drama filled moment (read: crisis).

If the vision of your life experience that exists in your head is substantially different than the one you live day to day; you my friend are coasting toward a crisis. Don’t panic, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The loss of a job, relationship or living situation isn’t necessarily terrible; it’s a course correction, especially if you’ve been planning and setting goals to have new life experiences.

In retrospect I realize I needed to release the job a looooong time ago, but couldn’t get myself to do it. How would I explain walking away from what appeared to be my livelihood? I couldn’t…or could I? After all, I knew I wanted to work from home doing this type of work full time. I could have politely declined to participate in a work situation that was sucking the very marrow from my bones. And maybe next time I will remember that I am empowered enough to deliberately choose when and where I segue into a new life experience, with grace, ease and joy.

Having said that, I hope you are making your way through the mercury retrograde with more grace and ease than I have this week. And in honor of your continued success, I am rolling out a referral program, because this work I do is largely expanded through word of mouth and I want to expand my practice with grace, ease…yeah, you get the direction this is headed in, right?

The program works like this: when you register with me and then refer one friend who actually books and has a reading with me, you get a 15 minute reading with me for free. When you refer three people to me who all book and have a reading with me, you get a 30 minute reading. And when you refer five people to me who all book and have a reading with me, you then get an hour reading with me for free. After your free one hour reading the process begins again with a new referral and reading partner and a new 15 minute reading, with me, for free, etc, etc. And your friends can also benefit from this program by giving their own referrals—cool beans.

So, email me if you’d like to be on my list for referrals this year. And I’d like to thank you, my clients and readers for helping me make my dreams come true this year…here’s to your success in 2009!

The first work week of the year and we're experiencing a bit of Celestial turbulence. Saturn, the planet of restriction and delay began retrograde motion in Virgo on New Years Eve and Sunday mercury begins retrograde motion in Aquarius. To add to the challenges for the people of planet earth, there is a Full Moon in Cancer on Saturday at 8:27 PM PST. Let's just say things are probably going to feel a bit bumpy for awhile. Saturn will not return to direct motion until May 16th and mercury won't return to direct motion till the first of February--but take your time starting new projects. I like to give mercury time to clear its shadow period after a retrograde, and the shadow ends about the 20th of February.

Yeah, not the best news, but what does it mean to you? Be prepared to begin working on your goals for the New Year, but don't expect quick results. This is a time to really take a look at what is working in your life as well as what is not...and then set your plans carefully and in detail. Please don't use the retrogrades as an excuse to put off the work you need to do in order for 2009 to be a great year, because there will be some good news (especially for Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarian folks; stay tuned).

Hopefully you've already got your goals list put together. If not, I really like The Millionaire Course by Marc Allen; it's great for defining the vision of who/what you want to be when you grow up. And I like The Success Principles, by Jack Canfield for giving you great ideas to stay on track the entire year. Check out for forms that you can download and fill out each quarter so that you know what you're doing step by step, all year long, to be successful. I love the fact that he talks about having an accountability partner, someone you report in with on a regular basis; did you exercise, did you write a few pages each day for that book you want to publish next year--that kind of thing. Let's face it, there isn't going to be a 700 billion dollar bailout for the man/woman on the street. You better have a plan...

So, maybe it might be a good time to check in with your friendly, neighborhood psychic--yes that's me. My vocation is to help people achieve their dreams, to help you live a fulfilled life. Now if you're happy as a clam, that's great, but if not, I'd like to be your accountability partner. You have two eyes, why? For depth perception, of course and you can get better 'vision' into what you need to do in 2009 with a bit of metaphysical insight. Email me to set up your appointment.

Now, the good news is that saturn will take a brief tour of Libra at the end of 2009. It will retrograde back into Virgo, for a bit, in 2010, but all of you who have been suffering through insufferable work situations may feel a bit of relief toward the end of October. The restrictions and delays move to Libra and the issue of partnership--but we'll worry about that later.
So it's time to really pay attention to what you want and set your game plan. Be patient and make course corrections because the first six months of the year may not have a really great flow, but you can still come out of the deal the wiser if you are patient and do the work.

Wishing you great joy and fulfillment in 2009!

P.S. Like the blog? Tell a friend...thanx!

Fresh Starts

New Beginnings,

Well, it took longer to reignite this situation than I thought, but here we go!

Greetings and welcome to 2009, an opportunity to start fresh on the road to creating the life of your dreams. I imagine a lot of you are taking a look at the year ahead with hopefullness; dreams of greater joy, ease, prosperity and happiness abound, What will you be doing to help expand your current life experiences so that by the end of 2009, your life experience includes all the aforementioned goodies?

If you've been reading my blog (see for awhile, then you understand that the metaphysical aspect of change begins with one's thoughts and beliefs. You don't loose weight because you diet per se, but because there has been a shift in what you see and believe to be the truth of you--hence the weight loss. You love yourself where you stand, and that attracts to you a book, a yoga studio, a teacher, etc. and from there you're off and running. Continued positive thought about you entices new recipes, affirmations, visualizations, new friends and other helpful items that allow you to continue the upward spiral of activities to the new physical you. Get the picture?

And it's the same for all other manifestations. If you are frustrated, fearful, or practice thoughts that don't embrace the beauty that is you, you're likely to find your dreams for a 'new year, new you' somewhat stymied. You might like to try journaling as a way of sneaking a peek at your innermost thoughts to assess what your beliefs are about your health, money, weight, career, etc.

If your changes are needed because of a crisis, that's a little bit different...

You might have heard that John Travolta and his wife are coping with the sudden death of their 16 year old son; that's crisis, and as humans we can be guaranteed at some point in time we will have some sudden challenge appear on our path that must be faced down and overcome. The loss of a job, the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship are events that summon the best in us if we are to regain our bearings and get on with life. Mr. Tavolta's belief in scientology is scoffed at by many, but I have no doubt it's what he and his family will lean on to move forward, however shakily into the future. Religion, spirituality and even scientific understanding are the go to tools in time of both peace and trouble.

The tool I work with most, whether you call it intuition, spiritual insight, or psychic ability, is one I think highly worth developing. My clients come to me for clairty, validation and metaphysical understanding when they are confused or life has become greatly challenging. You might want to consider adding the development of your own intuitive abilities to your list of dreams and goals for 2009, it certainly can't hurt. One of my favorite books for developing intuitive faculties is by Laura Day and is called Practical Intuition. You won't need cards or anything like that, just some time to devote to your own well being.

I should add that Ms. Day also has a book for those of you dealing with crisis; Welcome to Your Crisis is a wonderful book to work with as you baby step your way out of difficulty back into a life of happiness. And if you're thinking that there has to be a death in the family before you need such a book, please reconsider. If you know you're living on the edge of a volcano metaphorically speaking due to a shakey relationship, shakey finances, or not attending to nagging health issues--then this is the book for you as well. I love Ms. Day's work, she's gentle, but knowlegeable and effective. Don't pass up the opportunity to make things right before they go way wrong...

In closing, I send my condolences to Mr. Travolta and family. And to you, I wish great peace and expanded well being as you embark on the journey of a new year.
