Christmas 2010 is now a memory and a New Year is bearing down on us full boar. The Moon, presently transiting the sign of Virgo, offers mankind an opportunity to clean up after our celebrations internally and externally. Think in terms of removing clutter from your home and getting your health and exercise regimens in order for 2011. Since the Celestial weather is really pretty good, I am giving the day four stars--a day to cleanse, restore and rest. So without further adieu, let's get down to business!
Sunday 26 December 2010 begins with an energy stirring trine between the Moon and Mars at 7:04 AM (Note: all times indicated in this blog are PST). If you have chores to do that require a lot of physical energy or movement, begin them early enough that you can take advantage of this energy boost. The Moon sextile Venus at 2:49 PM gives smooth sailing to your love and monetary concerns. And you may also be able to snap up great post-Christmas sales at the stores--if you're willing to brave the crowds! The Sun conjoins Pluto at 5:04 PM, a powerful aspect for self transformation, though it may come on the heels of great challenge. If you're engaged in marathon training, physical therapy, or psychological therapeutic work, this aspect can take you to new levels of success. It is also possible for business minded individuals to sky rocket their businesses under the aegis of this energy.
The mood becomes a bit more challenging when the Moon squares Mercury at 5:36 PM. The possibility for emotional upsets over miscommunications or misunderstandings is prominent here (especially since Mercury is still retrograde). Try to overlook the behavior of those around you if they are being difficult since this energy passes quickly.
Speaking of Mercury and communications, the retrograde ruler of Virgo and Gemini is working toward a near sextile to Saturn, but won't quite make it due to its retrograde motion. Communication and writing projects developed now till 29 December will benefit from the organizing energy of Saturn--so take advantage.
The Medicine card I've chosen for us to meditate on this week is the Dolphin. Dolphin medicine is a reminder of our connection to spirit via the breath--the carrier of spirit, also known as chi, ki or prana energies. Native American lore says that the Dolphin learned to use the breath as a means of reconnecting with spirit and the dream time. There Dolphin was able to interact with the people of the dream time and carry information about how we humans were progressing in our physical experience. You too can use your breath to better connect with your own intuitive knowing, thus gaining access to valuable insights for self and others. Make time for meditation this week and see what insights spirit has in store for you!
Till next time...
