Friday, Saturday & Sunday (2-4 December 2011)

Greetings Friends!

Get ready for a long void of course period on Friday and Saturday with a waxing Moon in Aries for the weekend!  We'll be focused on personal concerns, but first consider taking a down day on Friday.  Between the Mercury retrograde and a zero star day, you probably will be better off finishing up old projects and resting than trying to force things to come to completion.  Saturday there's only one aspect, but the Moon is void of course most of the day, so let's call it a three star day; Sunday is a three star day too--looks like you'll need to bring your own sunshine and rainbows again (yoga, meditation, Qi-Gong, etc)!

I want to give a shout out to a fellow blogger, Ellie Di, who wrote a funny and extremely helpful blog to ease the pain of our current Mercury retrograde.  Keep in mind that the shadow period of the retrograde extends till the New Year and put her tips into practice to save your sanity during this wonky time.  Check it all out here!

The Aries Moon gets us ready for action and all fire signs will be raring to go.  Jump on the bandwagon with pink, red, scarlet or white clothes/accessories.  Coral, bloodstone, amethyst and carnelian stones are a good bet (throw in some tiger's eye or green fluorite if Mercury has you tongue tied or experiencing adult onset ADD) and wind down with dragons' blood, cinnamon, frankincense or myrrh incense.

Friday 2 December 2011 The First Quarter Moon arrives at 1:52 AM, so check and recheck your plans for accuracy and effectiveness (Note:  all times indicated in this blog are PST).  An opposition between the Moon and Mars at 2:02 AM may have you tossing and turning rather than getting a good night's sleep (so try a little melatonin before bed).  The Sun and Mars behave badly at 5:08 AM; expect general grumpiness and potentially hot tempers here--in other words, consider sleeping in!  Arguments, miscommunications and other Mercurial challenges arrive when the Moon squares Mercury at 10:06 AM; hopefully you aren't starting any new projects after that since the Moon is void of course until 5:51 PM--tomorrow.

Saturday 3 December 2011 the Moon enters Aries at 5:51 PM after a lengthy void of course in Pisces (you might want to try meditation at some point, void of course Moons are great for it).  Ingenious ideas, creativity and surprises galore are likely when the Moon conjoins Uranus at 7:10 PM.

Sunday 4 December 2011 burn the night oil to take advantage of the Sun conjoining Mercury at 12:52 AM; your writing/communications could be positively inspired!  Power plays and dangerous tempers lurk when the Moon squares Pluto at 6:40 AM.  Money and love woes are a potential challenge when the Moon squares Venus at 2:56 PM.  Expect temper and communications challenges when the Moon squares Mars at 3:19 PM.  And our communications get back on track when the Moon trines Mercury at 4:00 PM.  Let your intuitive promptings guide you when the Moon trines the Sun at 7:20 PM.

Wishing you a spectacular finish to your week and a relaxing weekend and as always...

Rich Blessings!

  1. ...So I have to wait until Sunday to write more blog posts, huh? :)

I was really wondering what this upcoming weekend was going to bring.

    Thanks for sharing, Deadra! :)

    Much love!

  2. If you start your new blog posts before the void of course begins, then you can finish them later if need be. Just keep in mind the wonky nature of the Mercury retrograde and be prepared to check and recheck your work. Mercury has been kicking my a** with the two blogs I keep. Enough already!

  3. Hi Dee, many thanks for this. My focus today is on finishing up old stuff and tying off loose ends - glad to see it's a good idea, astrologically, too!

  4. Thanks for the shout-out, darlin! And for the astrological heads-up, too, of course. I'm feeling pretty good in my Mercury mojo, even though it's been kind of rough around here. It's amazing how reminding myself that it's just something in the air can help!
