Astrology Predictions for Friday thru Sunday (9-11 December 2011)

Greetings Friends!

Hold on to your hats, we've got a Full Moon bringing a Lunar eclipse to town this weekend.  While the Moon transits Gemini we're going to have our hands full dealing with the rising tide of energies and challenges.  I will say more about this in a moment, but first let's break it down a bit.  Friday is a zero star day that precedes the Full Moon, Saturday is a three star day that boasts a heavy dose of Saturnian energy (in addition to being the Full Moon day--isn't that just peachy), and Sunday is a two star day; need I say you will seriously need to engage in self-care work this weekend?  Oh, and don't forget Gemini is one of two signs ruled by the now retrograde planet Mercury.  This is a weekend where the potential for mistakes, confusion and challenges will likely run high.

I just want to preface the weekend Celestial energy report with this proviso:  I don't tell you this information to freak you out, I tell you so you can set intentions for calm, wear your crystals and meditate in preparation for the energy that is incoming.  Be proactive with this information, not frightened.

Gemini, the sign of the twins, puts the focus on changeability, pleasure trips, literature, mental work and details.  Best colors for Gemini include yellow, orange, light gray, silver and white.  Agate, moss agate, moonstone and jade are great crystals to keep you mentally sharp this weekend; also try mint, dragon's blood or mastic incense to unwind--something that is pretty much going to be a necessity this weekend.

We have a change of sign Sunday morning from Gemini to Cancer which may not help the emotional whiplash from yesterday's Full Moon.  Moodiness is not uncommon for Cancer, so keep that in mind if people seem a bit more sensitive today.  Dress in your favorite blue, smoke gray, sea green or brown outfits/accessories--think comfort in your dress.  Agate, amber, carnelian and pearl jewelry will help you keep a stable emotional state.  Jasmine, violet, sandalwood or rose incense/essential oils can also help keep you calm as we move through the Full Moon weekend.

Friday 9 December 2011 get ready for the first energetic clash when the Moon opposes Mercury at 6:07 AM; difficulty with communications are likely (Note:  all times indicated in this blog are PST).  Tempers run high and frustration is likely to mount when the Moon opposes Mars at 8:44 PM.  Toss into that volatile mix Uranus making a direct station at 11:05 PM in preparation for forward movement after a long retrograde.   Mix it altogether and we have a rather unholy mix of unstable, potentially angry energy looking for a place to explode (yep, really peachy).  Uranus rules extremes and sudden change; it is the destroyer of old patterns, so look for things to be really shaking as this Uranian energy starts swirling in addition to the Full Moon energy tomorrow.  While it may seem like an unholy cocktail the Universe has cooked up for us, this is how we change patterns that have gotten into a rut.  If you look at this energy as a way to break up unhelpful patterns that have held you in their grip for awhile now, maybe you can see some benefit to all the quaking and shaking.

Saturday 10 December 2011 begins the day with the Full Moon/Lunar eclipse show at 6:36 AM.  Depending on your location you'll be able to see either the whole Lunar eclipse or part of it--Google the day's eclipse if you want to see what time you need to be outside taking a peep.  Folks in Los Angeles should be able to view the latter part of the eclipse at around 6:45 PST.  The Moon will be red in the sky--something that freaked out our ancestors to no end, so maybe you just want to sleep in and forget about it.

In any case, the signs up to bat include Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces--if you have planets near 18 degrees of any of those signs watch for communications that bring endings to affairs with people at a distance, legal issues or college study matters--from now till 4 June (when the next Lunar eclipse occurs).  If you missed my newsletter about the Full Moon you can check it out here: I go into much more detail and you can get a clearer picture of what's going on.  And if you haven't yet signed up for my free newsletter, you can do so here!

The rest of the day is spent building toward a powerful Moon-Saturn trine at 11:05 PM; bring your 'A' game, be disciplined and take advantage of this opportunity to build a powerful plan for your most important projects.

Sunday 11 December 2011 is a mish-mash of energies starting with a great dream aspect between the Moon at Neptune at 2:25 AM; drink your mugwort tea, put out a pen and pad of paper by your bedside and capture those dreams!  The Moon is void of course after that aspect, but enters Cancer at 5:26 AM, so keep an eye out for moodiness in self and others.  Errant energies from a Moon square to Uranus aspect are likely to produce uncomfortable chaos (early morning noisy neighbors, etc.), surprises or not so good news at 6:40 AM, so be prepared.  A bit of good news is likely when the Moon sextiles Jupiter at 6:49 AM; perhaps the good news offsets the early morning Uranian shocks!  We spend the rest of the day building toward an opposition with Pluto, so take care of yourself.  Don't get into arguments with volatile people or hang out in shady places, since Mr. Pluto is the ruler of death/transformation we don't really want to wrangle with him, if you see what I mean.

Now that is truly an energetic mash up that requires a quiet mind and spirit.  Bring to the weekend your intentions for peace, safety, clarity of mind and a smooth unfolding of your weekend work and I think you'll truly be working your 'A' game.  If you need a bit more, say a love Tarot reading,  or perhaps a Tarot reading to map out your 2012, or some personal astrology predictions, you can always book a personal reading with me here!  Make sure to ask for Deadra!

Peace to you this Full Moon weekend and I' will see you Monday!
